The Story Continues
Following last week's news regarding our search for a permanent home for COTC, the life of the church goes on. In the Gospel our hope is secure, as those in Christ we can endure and grow, even amidst setback and difficulty. One of the great gifts of Scripture is the way that it invites us to look fully at situations of disappointment and difficulty without hiding in denial or platitudes, while also providing us with good news, with hope that means we are not dissuaded or overcome by what we see and encounter. We grieve, but we do so in great hope.
Life goes on this coming Sunday as we will again celebrate the goodness of God at the table together, in song, and in life together. This Sunday we're also having lunch at the Parish House for anyone new to the church. This is a chance to ask questions, and learn a bit more about who we are and how to get involved, and to meet others similarly new to the church. If you've never been to a newcomer's gathering at COTC you are encouraged to come. Please RSVP by the end of the day tomorrow so we can be sure to have enough food on hand! Kids are welcome!
Also, before this lunch we'll have a brief meeting at the Phillips Event Center following worship to provide an update regarding the property search process and to answer any questions you might have. I hope you can join us!
Grace and peace,
