During Lent, we focus more intentionally on the practice of almsgiving; donating money, goods, or time to the poor and performing acts of charity as a sign of repentance and love. This year, we'll engage in this practice by creating welcome kits to meet the tangible needs of newly arrived refugee families. You can gather supplies and assemble kits as a household, individually, as a neighborhood group, with your child's school, and drop them off in the lobby on 3/22 or 3/29. This class (7th to 9th graders) is designed to be a basic yet comprehensive introduction to the Christian faith. It’s taught in partnership with lay and clergy people. During year one of the two-year cycle, we will cover topics including The Gospel, The Bible, and the Creeds. Year two consists of The Lord's Prayer, Ten Commandments, and the Sacraments. The class is a commitment of 30 classes (September - May for two years), and we ask that participants commit to attending as many as possible to experience the full scope and depth of the class. At the end of the two years, confirmation will be an option for students who attend 25+ classes.
CATECHISM meets in the Small Conference Room - 11am--12: 15pm

Join with the men of COTC as we gather for play, community, study, and prayer.
Cost: $120/person which includes your accommodations and meals for Saturday and Sunday. Scholarships are available. Contact Kimberly if you'd like to inquire about one.
Location: Camp Buckner, 3835 FM 2342, Burnet, TX 78611
Schedule: Friday night 3/6 meet at Bear King Brewery in Marble Fall from 5-6:30 or head straight to Camp Buckner for checkin at 7:30 pm. The retreat will end at 9:45 am on 3/8. We'll share a more detailed schedule as the retreat gets closer.
