THE WHOLE GOSPEL FOR THE WHOLE WORLD

We believe in the whole gospel for the whole person and all of creation. The church’s mission is to tell the Story of the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ to every person in every culture.

SPOTLIGHT: KIDS CLUB

Kids Club is a ministry of Chruch of the Cross that exists to share the love of Jesus with children in the St. Johns community by creating places of belonging through friendship, regular rhythms of reading God’s Word in their native language, play, and meals. Kids Club meets each Wednesday at 5:30 pm

Ways to serve Kids Club

Weekly Kids Club

Read the Bible story in Spanish or English– each week kids hear a Bible story. The story is planned in advance. We always need someone to read it in Spanish, and recently, there has also been a need for someone to read it in English.

Lead the craft – if the person who plans the craft can’t attend, we need a different person to lead it.

Provide pizza – each week, the kids enjoy pizza at the end of their time together. Kids club depends on volunteers to provide the pizzas. The good news is that to provide pizza, you don’t need to be there. You can order ahead and communicate with the team about when the pizza will be delivered.

Plan the craft – if you enjoy art or creating, this role is for you. While you can plan the craft and also be there to lead it, if you can’t make it, you can plan a craft, provide supplies and directions, and coordinate with a lead to get the materials to them prior to Wednesday night.

Celebrations

If you can't make it on Wednesday evenings, we have other opportunities like birthday celebrations and a Christmas Party that we need help planning and volunteers to help with the day of.

LEADERSHIP

The COTC Missions Team aims to mobilize, educate, and equip our parish to be a people of presence, actively involved in missional ways, through the proclamation and demonstration of the gospel in the city of Austin and beyond. The primary way the team does this is through stewarding a portion of the operating budget, directing funds toward various partners and initiatives.

PARTNERSHIPS

God invites us to be present to our neighbors—near and far— proclaiming and demonstrating his Kingdom. We desire to engage in deep, meaningful relationships with individuals and organizations, especially focused on immigrants & refugees, vulnerable families, church planting, and the needs of our immediate neighbors.
