Sunday's Passage is the Parable of the Sower
Read Luke 8:1-18 slowly.
As you envision the passage, what do you see?
Where do you notice yourself lean in?
Where do you notice yourself recoil?
Hi Church!
It was such a joy to wrap up this semester with our K-5th graders in the Garden. This year was full of some fun songs, amazing dioramas, thoughtful questions, and, of course, lots and lots of our beloved peg people. If you’ve ever been curious about the curriculum we use for children’s formation here at COTC, check out God’s Big Story.
This also means we welcome our elementary kids back to corporate worship. Check out my letter here on how to make this transition meaningful for us as a parish.
In other news……
Monday kicks off my favorite week of the year here at COTC - our beloved summer camp program, Creation Care Camp!
Camp does so many things for our community of kids, but one of the best things I see happen is the excitement and joy the kids have spending the week together. I love watching friendships form as we worship, make nests, pretend to be bats, and build bug hotels.
If I were to ask for a prayer, let it be this: Lord, draw your children close to you in worship of you as Creator, and draw them close to one another in love and companionship.
Another huge thank you to the volunteers serving this week at camp. I acknowledge here that the work you put in this week is not trivial, nor physically easy! The memories we create together and for these campers is what makes it “the best week of the summer” (a true quote from numerous Creation Care Camp alumni!)
Joyfully,
Briana Hayes
