In Epiphany, we are drawn into the revelation of Jesus’ divinity and glory through events like his Baptism and Transfiguration. Epiphany celebrates this is for all, Christ is a light for the nations, and invites us to bear witness to the light as we participate in the mission of God, the reconciling of all things.

Given this central theme of Epiphany, here are a few highlights from the missions ministry at COTC. I am thankful for our Missions Team and the work they have put into discerning and supporting missions partners.

Mission Partner Updates

This year we will welcome two new partners: The Anglican Church in Brazil/Agua Viva Church and World Relief. Longtime connections, we’ll now step into more formal partnerships through financial support, prayer, learning, and service.

We also get to give a few one-time gifts:

Sarah Busskamp is a visual artist and missionary with The Anitoch Network. Sarah painted the artwork that hangs behind our altar! Along with her husband and kids, she serves in eastern Germany.

Alissa Cooper, who along with her family are beloved COTCers, ministers with Central Texas Young Life as the Regional Trainer & Women's Staff Development.

Named to honor parishioner Bob Woodberry’s father, and his example of bridge-building, peace-oriented work, The Woodberry Intercultural Institute aims to advance peace between Muslims and Christians through mutual understanding and rigorous scholarship.

A New COTC Missionary

I am incredibly excited to share that our own Tatiana Martinez has stepped into a role as a COTC missionary for Kids Club. With great missional instincts, Tatiana has served since its inception and is beloved among the children and families who participate. If you see Tatiana on a Sunday, say hello and ask her to share stories of how God is moving in this ministry and the lives of the children.

Tatiana offers these requests for prayer:

   1. Pray for healing and strength. She has not been feeling 100% for the last month or so

   2. Pray for more opportunities to connect with the parents of children involved in Kids Club

Upcoming Opportunities to Serve
