REMINDERS:

This Sunday begins our 10AM Sunday service during the summer!

Today is also Juneteenth, where we enter into our nation’s history with both the joy of liberation as well as the lament of delayed freedom for enslaved brothers and sisters. Several years ago, our diocese put together this guide to help us understand and honor the Lord through this holiday - may it inform and bless!

“What a wildly wonderful world, God! You made it all, with Wisdom at your side, made earth overflow with your wonderful creations.”

- Psalm 104:24 (The Message)

We are gearing up to welcome over 70 children to our annual summer camp, A Rocha’s Creation Care Camp! As our volunteers and campers prepare for a week of camp, keep this verse in mind as you pray for the week of rest, play, wonder, and worship. These are the central themes of our week, and our camp verse will be the meditation on our hearts.

Creation Care Camp is a great way to engage kids in experiencing and better understanding God’s good creation. We will spend the week seeing God as Creator through daily devotions, nature study, and play. The hope is that our campers learn that all of God’s works are good and that they themselves are beloved creations. I hope this is a sweet revelation!

Will you join me in prayer?

- That kids are formed in their love and knowledge of God through learning about Him and his creation

- That new-to-us families experience the welcome of Jesus

- That all families connect over ways to care for God’s creation

- That our intrepid volunteers would find their own wonder refreshed through being with our kids

We can’t wait to enjoy WILDY WONDERFUL WORLD!

Director of Children’s Formation
