Next Sunday is our Annual Parish Meeting, beginning at 10:15AM! Don’t know what this is or why you should come? Check out last week’s eNews! If you have young(er) ones in tow, check out Briana’s graphic below.
Parish Retreat is a concentrated time of connection - prayer, learning, and fellowship - where we grow together in an aspect of our faith and in our relationships with one another.
Memories are made, friendships are formed, and this year we are looking at Scripture with fresh eyes thanks to our speaker Brandon O’Brien. On the Saturday of retreat, he’ll lead us in an unusual and interactive workshop about how our cultural lenses affect what we see when we read the Bible. His aim is to deepen or rekindle your enjoyment of engaging the Scriptures—particularly doing so in community.
If you’ve been around for a while, it’s a meaningful touchpoint with others who call COTC home and an opportunity to receive unique teaching.
If you’re newer, Parish Retreat is a chance to get to know people and have a deeper sense of who COTC is. It is often likened to getting more than a month of Sundays’ worth of connection and understanding in one fell swoop.
If you’re a youth, you get all that and the Slurpee Crawl.
Our retreat ends in the parking lot with a COTC Block Party! We’ll lunch, play, and linger together over whatever piques your interest. The Texas/Florida game will be on in one part of the “block”, with activities for kids and adults dispersed in other locales. Something you want to see? Cornhole Tourney? Bring it! The Block Party is about quality, unhurried time to make and deepen friendships.
Mark your calendars, and register now for early bird pricing! We never want cost to keep you from participating, so reach out to Mtr. Kimberly if a scholarship would make the difference.
Peace,
Sarah+
