HOly week
Holy Week is different.
Different from our daily lives the rest of the year, different from every other week in the liturgical calendar. This week time slows down, suspended as we ponder and celebrate the deep mysteries of our redemption. We walk slowly, a humane pace, in reverence and continuity with Jesus through the final days leading to the Cross. From his triumphal entry on Palm Sunday, the Last Supper with his disciples imaged in Maundy Thursday, the agony and death of our Lord on Good Friday, to the sacred quiet of Holy Saturday. At last we worship our risen king on Easter Sunday:
“Alleluia! Christ is risen!”
“The Lord is risen indeed! Alleluia!”
Anchor each day of Holy Week by joining the global and historic church in praying the Collect.
March 29th - 9 & 11 am
The service begins outside, waving palms and singing “All Glory Laud & Honor” to our King. The service continues with a dramatic, participatory reading of the Passion from the Gospels.
April 3rd - 6:30pm
For our Good Friday service we invite parishioners to share stories related to the seven last words of Jesus. Service details and childcare signup here!
Purchase a lily to honor loved ones you’ve lost or special people in your life today; deadline 3/25.
Parents! Invite your kiddos into each service through Holy Week. Check out these service guides to help you prepare and engage the whole family.
April 5th - 9 & 11am
Alleluia! Christ is risen! The Lord is risen indeed! You are invited to wear white and plan on sticking around for a bit after service, as we’ll have special treats. Also, bring loose cut flowers to add to the cross.
April 2nd - 6:30pm
Within this service, we wash one another’s feet, following Christ’s example, celebrate the Eucharist meal, and experience a “descent” into darkness as the altar is stripped. Service details and childcare signup here!
