Each Sunday, the Lord meets us in a unique moment, and in a particular passage. At the same time, we know Scripture is something in which we steep. As tea leaves bloom in hot water, it takes time for the Word to infuse and transform our way of thinking and being.

Over the next three weeks, we’ll finish our walk through Ephesians. This coming Sunday, we’ll explore the final chapter. On October 25th we’ll zoom out, consider the letter as a whole, and take time to listen for the Spirit’s invitation to us.

I invite us to steep in Ephesians in some small way before October 25th.

Listen to (or read) the book.

If you choose to listen, I recommend the Bible app’s South Asian version! If you choose to read, the NIV, the Message, or the First Nations Version are delightful.

Daily pray one of Paul’s prayers from Ephesians.

A couple of adapted verses are below in a format that works as a phone background - enjoy! Something you can quietly look to during a stressful encounter, as you take a deep breath, remember your story, and walk in love and truth.

Review a meaningful sermon from the series, or catch up on a sermon you missed.

“The Church Epistle” - Who, what, and why of Ephesians

“Chosen by the Trinity” - Mature people know their story - what’s ours?

“Spiritual Realities” - What can we glean from Paul’s mindset?

“Finding Our Roots” - Where God’s intervention and our relationships intersect

“True Story” - How does God’s story describe and elevate our own existence?

“Maturing Together in Christ” - Where maturity and self-improvement diverge

“Be Patient: Student Driver” - How are we *actually* to live together as the Church?

“Household Codes” - What does Jesus have to do with non-ideal social structures?
