Come Sunday, we will be fed through the Word and the Table. But how are we fed? How are we to recognize and receive Jesus in our midst?
That second question in particular will mark our worship this Sunday, as we consider two ways in which Matthew’s gospel invites us to meet Jesus.
Last year I led a Liturgy Tour, walking us through many parts of our service. If you weren’t there or could use a refresher, I invite you to watch it! It covers a lot of the movements of our service, the “why” behind much of what we do. This Sunday will include a smaller part 2, focused more narrowly on communion.
We will also take time to hear about our Kid’s Club ministry, where God has been at work, and listen together for the season ahead.
Speaking of seasons ahead, Advent will be here before we know it!
In the weeks to come we’ll share more ways we might embrace the season, but for now I want to put on your radar our annual Advent Chili Cook Off after services on 12/6. Bring something to share, anticipate “tucking in” to a good bowl of food, and keep an eye out for Saint Nicholas, as that is his feast day!
Peace,
Sarah+
