Several weeks back, COTC staff went away to pray and plan for the months ahead. We spent time reflecting on how God has made COTC, naming some of her unique gifts and temperament.

A fun aspect of community is that no individual is the embodiment of these gifts. Her gifts may even reside in an area of weakness for you personally! It is together these features emerge, come alive, and are matured.

Two features we named stand out in this moment:

“Our people like each other” - connecting is important to us

“There is a genuine spirit here. We’re all betting our lives on Jesus” - devotion is embodied

If those do not resonate with you - maybe relationships are hard right now or your trust in Jesus is fledgling or flagging - there is good news! You get to belong to a people who can hold on to hope with and for you.

Weaving those qualities together, I want to highlight 3 opportunities to lean into life at COTC.

Sunday Worship, 9 & 11. There is no substitute for receiving Jesus together through the Word and Table. Make it a habit to be at Sunday services: to lend your voice and heart and hands where you’re able, and to lean on others’ voices and hearts and hands when you’re weary. Worshiping together sustains us in seasons when life falls apart, and trains us in seasons of abundance. Let it.

Neighborhood Groups start this week! Following Jesus finds its texture and power in the particularities of our daily lives. In Neighborhood Groups we enter into those particularities, growing in friendship with God and one another. Find the one closest to you here, and if you want to start one, let’s talk!

COTC Celebrates 10 Years - be there! As we talked about this past Sunday, knowing our stories roots us in reality and gives us vision for the road ahead. Whether you’ve been here only a week or from day 1, this night is for us to join together with eyes on who God has revealed himself to be in this particular community. Participate by reflecting and partying.
